In 2020, Nora and Christoph Leonardi’s daughter was diagnosed with a rare gene mutation in AGO2. At the time, there was limited knowledge — and the available prognoses were severe.
In 2021, they founded the AGO Alliance to accelerate therapeutic development, connect families, and raise awareness for Argonaute Syndromes.
Rare neurodevelopmental disorders caused by mutations in the AGO1 and AGO2 genes. These conditions often receive insufficient attention from pharmaceutical companies.
